Refurbished in 1976 and located in the centre of the village of Holymoorside, the village hall has lovely open views to the rear overlooking the recreation ground, river Hipper and the rolling Derbyshire hills beyond.

Outside, to the front of the hall is a recently renovated memorial garden, a well equipped safe play area for children and ample parking.  

 

The hall is licenced for the supply of alcohol and for the provision of regulated entertainment.

 

There are 3 function rooms any or all of which can be hired for a wide range of functions;

 

The main hall, has a solid wood floor suitable for dancing and other physical activities, a stage, piano and a projection screen. An overhead projector may be available for private hire if required - please ask at the time of booking. The main hall has a traditional welcoming feel, with its reclaimed oak ceiling and beams and is bright and airy. It can be opened up into the lounge area to make a single large function room.

 

The lounge, is carpeted, overlooks the recreation ground and has a bar area. The village hall booking office can arrange for the provision of a bar for any function if required.

 

The committee room, which can be accessed from the lounge, is ideal for meetings and smaller groups.

The charge for hiring any of the function rooms includes the use of a well equipped kitchen which has a refridgerator, cooker, microwave, glasswasher and crockery for around 120 people.
